*Hands Off*? Interesting concept. No, I have not tried it. I don’t believe in not touching a dog during training.
Add: Hang on. This seems to be all about using his *Command Collar*. Let me see what I can find out about that without spending a ton of money….

Couldn’t really find much negative…….if he offers a money back guarantee maybe it’s worth the try.
Who knows.
The only thing that I really liked in doing some spot reading is he doesn’t not believe in treat reward.
Done right, it works amazingly well and much better & faster than “hands ON” dog training. You can learn through a “system” or you can learn from any good clicker trainer.
Don Sullivan does not have a hand’s off training system. He uses a leash and collar. That is not hands off in my opinion. My definition of hand’s off is free shaping which the dog is off leash and treats are used with a marker for the correct response. He uses a modifed version of the old Keohler method so that’s nothing new either. His DVD’s are okay but they leave out a lot of steps especially when teaching the stays. His “command collar” is not a new invention. Google “Good Dog Collar” and you will see many places that sell them. All those are, is a plastic pinch collar. He is a good salesman and has a good pitch. His training method does work for most people but there’s nothing new to it. The DVD’s can be found on ebay for a good price. They range from $ 3.25 to $ 125. I think that you canget the kit off of TV for $ 35.95 or something like that.
I have always trained my dogs ‘hands off’ if thats what you want to call it.
Apart from a lead I very rarely shout, use spoken commands and never use treats.
Its always worked for me.
Why should we expect dogs to speak our language when we never try to speak theirs ?
