how do i start training my dog to use the litter box method?

Question by derrickcrusoe: how do i start training my dog to use the litter box method?
i have a small dog he is a pomchi. and he’s 5months old i dont want him to use it outside because i stay in a apartment on the 20th floor and it would not be feasible to do that that often know what i mean. so it would be very convient for me to have him trained this way

A.S.A.P. It’s not going to be easy but when your dog is
ready to urinate get some tissue (but of course with
gloves on) then try to soak the tissue in the urine then
squeeze it onto the litter. So your dog can smell that
and hopefully will know that’s their territory and use
the restroom there. Let’s just say I had two dogs and
one would use it but the other one refuse to.
Good luck!

I’m not sure you can get him to use a litter box, but you can get him paper-trained with paper training pads. You can buy them in any good pet supply store. They have a scent that attracts the dog to the spot you want him to go on. Once you get him to use the spot, you just keep newspapers there for him to go on.
