Why are dog training classes arranged in a semi-circle?


Question by silver wings: Why are dog training classes arranged in a semi-circle?
I was curious why my trainer always keeps us in a semi-circle. Is there some special reason for that?

So that everyone is able to see the trainer head-on, and the trainer is able to observe everyone I’d assume.

    Classic u-shape used in lectures and seminars. Its considered more inclusive and egalitarian than rows where the instructor is positioned hierarchically “above” them.

    Personally, I prefer the trainer to have all people in a straight line with no dog positioned “in front” of the other. Dogs do not respect or respond to the same values as people. Straight lines are better for dogs – people can deal.
