unspayed female twice a year, spayed female is the same as male, once a year. depends on how much you comb her to help with the shedding, each time will last about few days to 3 weeks.
I need some information before buying this lovely breed. I have heard that japanese spitz will shed their hair when they grow up. I really want to know when and how often??
my dog bites every things that catch her attention. does anyone know a useful way to stop dog from biting things? she never harms anyone except bugs. she also likes to pretend to bite to play with us, but it still hurts. she doesn’t listen our command to stop. a trainer told us to tap her mouth with 1 finger & speak sternly to her, but it doesn’t work. it only makes her excited thinking that we were joking… -___-; ignoring her does work temporary but wont stop her habit to play biting..
Is she very hard to train? I had a JS once but she kept biting…
aw no im having the same problem with my js mojo :/ he’s a nippy one! i still can’t let him run around because he likes to bite shoes, ankles, legs etc.

I have a japanese spitz when i was like 10 years old his name is ‘Luke” and we didn’t really train him, but he is smart and understands what we mean. but i have to leave him in my birth country cause i taken from my father to live to another country, now i came back for vacation he still remembered me and is really happy-go-lucky when he is with me. ahaha

hey there howd u get him to be so good?
I jsut got one hes 11 weeks old when i got him and on sunday hel be 12 weeks.
He has already learnt sit down leave and come and how to fetch so i am very proud of him such a very fast learner but not as quiet as your dog. will this be fixed when i get him neutered? as he is quite dominant over other things likes to bite alot in other words he has a strong prey sense which will be excellent in future training but bad for puppy
