Where did Judy Strickland’s dog training in Kirkwood go? Did they move or completely close up shop? They were great with training our dog.

I believe my mother used know her or had some help from her with training her dog. Everything I find says she is still in Kirkwood, Mo. at (314) 821-7877 Hope that helps.

I am 15 looking for a career in Pit bull Behavior Rehabilitation and every time I type in “Pit bull Behavior Rehabilitation” It always comes up as either “Wildlife Training” or “Dog Training/Whisperer” I just wanted to know if they mean the same thing and Does ANYONE Know what website I should go to or what to type in??I would be very grateful!

In this case behavior rehabilitation and training are used the same. I unfortunately don’t know at which sites would be best to look. Training is probably the best term I can come up with for searching.

Why not call and speak to them? Considering I’ve never heard of the place and am not sure where its even located, I can’t offer any help. If you call, they should be more than happy to answer any questions you have. They should also be happy to offer references if you request them.

YOU will learn how to teach your dog basic obedience.. sit, stay, down, heel, etc.. the trainer can also give you potty training tips.

The purpose of the classes is to teach YOU how to train your dog. The dog wont learn a thing if you dont apply what is learned at the classes and work with her thru the week.

Pick up your local phone book and look up trainers. Groomers, breeders and vets in the area can also refer you to some trainers. Your local dog shelter may even be able to refer you to a trainer.

Part 2 of the CGC Canine Good Citizen and Therapy dog tests held at the Sit Means Sit dog training facility. All of the dogs passed the test and I will be showing segments of the test that were held at our Las Vegas facility and televised on Fox 5 news media.

Question by .: Do you ever, out of habit, use dog training techniques on a human?
I often find myself trying not to comfort my sister when she is crying thinking,”Oh, well dogs don’t understand the meaning of the word comfort! They’ll think your praising them!”

But sometimes it works out for the better. Like if she is crying and she is just trying to get her way, I keep my patience and stay firm the same as I would with a dog that was whining for attention.
