Question by thaDub: Does the alpha roll really have no place in dog training?
I’ve used it with success with multiple dogs.

I use it to correct incessant nuisance behavior in puppies, like biting and barking. Verbal corrections always preface it but when the puppy doesn’t get the hint, he gets gently placed on his back and held down until he stops the behavior and stops resisting.

I’ve had to do this a maximum of 3 times. Usually only once or twice and I never have to deal with the behavior again.

Personally, I think it has a place when training puppies, but not adult dogs. My dog will roll over all by himself if he thinks he’s in trouble….

Question by Jarka H: Which dog training place would you recommend in the north Denver area?
I live in north Commerce City/south Brighton and have a 12 weeks old puppy goldendoodle. I’ve been searching for decent puppy obedience class and I’m lost. Who would you recommend? Thank you!

I did training at petsmart in DC with my dog and hes awesome and it was great. my mom did training at petsmart in MD and it worked, but she didn’t keep it up, so the dog sort of knows some things but has forgotten others over the years.

I am looking for a doggie boot camp type facility that specializes in dogs who have socialization issues as well as aggression towards other dogs. I need a place in Northern California bay area.

i live in illinois your best bet is 2 look 4 a club that has tons of dogs like yours i belonged 2 the german shepherd train club here please keep me in formed what decide if can please even ask your vet of place he/she may know

Question by Melissa L: Does anyone know how good the dog training place Bark Busters is and the cost?
I heard it costs around $ 500. I’m 16 and don’t have that kind of money, but my dog has a severe aggression problem.

Why not call and speak to them? Considering I’ve never heard of the place and am not sure where its even located, I can’t offer any help. If you call, they should be more than happy to answer any questions you have. They should also be happy to offer references if you request them.

Dogs are the best friend of everybody. It is loyal and obliging. However, you will need to train the dog carefully before it is able to be your best friend. In fact dogs are brilliant and can be tough. Only when you train your family pet, getting him to stay put in a place is important. It will be very frustrating to have your guest being uncomfortable when your dog is pouncing or jumping around. Conversation is impossible when you have to search for your dog continuously in the park because it just does not stay in one place. By giving this instruction, this instruction, you already have the dog sitting obediently in one place.

I don’t believe you want your dog sitting in one place all of the time. If that’s all you want, I feel sorry for your dog. Also, to have your dog achieve this task for you, as you are the master, it could be quite costly.
